BAE - "Sell our weaponry!"

This is an expression based around the Hyper-sexualisation of women through the media and the gaming industry. Women’s assets are often exaggerated similar to caricatures. The poster was designed to be ironic and to catch the eye of the public. Ruby's work tackles extreme misogyny within gaming industry from a humorous angle. The theme that runs through her artwork is to mimic the way, war games are advertised and to sell #BEA systems using advertisement and propaganda techniques. Using the Riso-graph machine means my work can include multiple layers. Inspired by propaganda techniques, a distorted a typeface to create subliminal messages seen in the background of my work.
